Mike has a background in Biomedical Engineering and is currently completing a degree in Industrial Design at OCAD University in Toronto.

Mike has worked for several years in the healthcare industry and academia as a biomedical engineer and researcher. While Mike is still actively involved in healthcare design, he has also delved into sustainable design. He worked at a green architecture firm for a couple of years before going back to school at OCAD U, where he founding the Sustainable Design Awards. Also at OCAD U, he currently works as a research assistant at the Mobile Experience Lab, working on mindfulness technologies.

Besides healthcare and sustainable design, Mike is also very interested in the design and production of small, hand-made objects in limited quantities.
