A Shoulder To Lean On : A lounge piece that helps overstimulated young adults decompress through a simple ritual of leaning, breathing, and presence.
A Shoulder to Lean On rethinks how the home supports the transition from work to rest. Designed for small living spaces and fast-paced routines, it focuses on the often-overlooked first 15 minutes after arriving home—when the body remains tense and the mind unsettled.
The piece invites intuitive interaction through its low, cocoon-like form and soft, responsive surfaces, encouraging users to lean, shift, and settle at their own pace. Rather than offering passive comfort, it creates a defined moment of pause, using physical support and subtle enclosure to help regulate the body and ease the shift into rest.
