Axell is an animatronic Robot meant for use in film. In a film Axell would be an autonomous rover sent to discover and document newly discovered planets. He is constructed out of primarily 3d printed pieces. Axel is an exploration into film design and animatronic design. Axel is designed in an attempt to facilitate human connection through design, facial mechanics, and articulation.
