Everwind: A vehicle-mounted turbine energy system that captures airflow to generate power while driving and parked.
Everwind is the first hybrid wind-energy system designed specifically for vehicles, generating renewable power both while driving and parked. As mobile energy demands grow, current power systems remain heavily dependent on solar power, which loses efficiency in cloud cover, winter conditions, shade, and at night. Alternative solutions often rely on stationary charging stations or fuel generators, limiting true off-grid independence.
Integrated within a rooftop cargo enclosure, Everwind uses a hybrid Darrieus and Savonius turbine system to maximize energy generation across both high and low wind speeds. While driving, a movable front airflow plate redirects high-velocity air through enclosed turbines to increase efficiency and capture wasted energy airflow. When parked, the turbines mechanically deploy into a vertical configuration to capture ambient wind and continue generating power while stationary. Combining renewable energy generation, integrated storage, aerodynamic performance, and deployable mechanical systems, Everwind introduces a new approach to mobile off-grid power.
