ThirdForm: A modular block system made from rice husk waste that helps reduce crop burning, support farming communities, and contribute to cleaner air in India.
Third Form is a modular building block system made from rice husk, an agricultural byproduct often treated as waste. The project explores how this material can be transformed into a functional, sustainable alternative for interior applications such as partitions, furniture, and facades.
Designed with an interlocking system, the blocks allow flexible configurations, encouraging user interaction and adaptability across different spaces. Beyond material innovation, the project addresses the environmental impact of agricultural waste burning and promotes circular design thinking.
By merging sustainability with usability and aesthetics, Third Form repositions waste as a valuable resource while creating opportunities for more conscious and engaging built environments.
