These fixtures are often broken, empty, coin-operated, or missing entirely, forcing menstruators to navigate moments of urgency without dignity, consistency, or support. This widespread failure reflects a deeper systemic neglect of menstrual care in public infrastructure.
Red Dot. responds to this gap by investigating how period care is integrated into shared environments. Reimagining what public restrooms can look like and what they can offer, Red Dot. dispenser prioritizes autonomy, hygiene, and equity, by meeting a basic human need with the same reliability and visibility as toilet paper. By embedding care into the recurring and spontaneous nature of menstruation, Red Dot. advocates for a future where menstrual equity is not an afterthought, but a standard.”
