AER: An innovative CPAP solution
Sleep is crucial for our health and well-being. Unfortunately, 12% of adults have obstructive sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a disorder that affects breathing at sleep and doesn’t allow one to get the necessary rest at night. As a result, those patients are asked to always sleep with a continuous positive airway pressure device (CPAP). However, the therapy is effective, it is also cumbersome. Around 50% of users drop it. Adherence to the therapy is not the only challenge that patients are facing; most of them are advised to change their lifestyle to decrease the body mass. So how can those devices better support patients? What if CPAP therapy not only helps patients get a good night’s sleep but also blends the appearance of the medical device for the home environment and provides a simple and convenient method for travelling.
