Freddy: An assistive device to facilitate fretting and chord formation for guitarists with ranging abilities.

Freddy is a device that facilitates fretting and chord progressions for electric and acoustic guitar players with ranging abilities. This assistive device was developed to encourage a proactive approach to mobility through music-making.

About the Designer

Amélie Houle, Carleton University

2022 graduate from Carleton University’s School of Industrial Design with a minor in Technology, Society, Environment Studies. With a background in graphic and user experience design, the areas that inform my design priorities and make up my primary design interests include social and accessible design, specifically centered around environmental and ethical sustainability.
