Route-Trace: Improving the Waiting Experience at Streetside Transit Stops
The Route-Trace display is a lighting system that communicates wait time through diffused light. Using translucent acrylic, LED lights and connection to the GTFS-RT system, it translates real-time transit data into a visual element within the transit stop. It is designed to enhance visibility in low-light areas and to reduce uncertainty making waiting feel more clear and safe.
