Shift: Computer input device for users with hand tremors

For users living with hand tremors as a result of Parkinson’s Disease or Essential Tremors, using a computer can often be frustrating and demeaning; standard computer mice do not offer an easy way to click or navigate as intended. In an increasingly digital society further accelerated by the pandemic, those with limited computer access can become more isolated from resources and support groups.

Shift is a unique computer input device designed to offer an accessible way for users with hand tremors to use a computer. Its shiftable track-surface allows users to switch between coarse and fine movement control. Paired with an intuitive set of hand-based gestures and other integrated features, Shift allow users to regain their digital mobility.
